"To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense! To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul, to give its final blow, the coup de grace for the painter as well as for the picture." -- Pablo Picasso

Mister J has a Special Holiday Task for you maniacs to perform on Saturday night.  What you’ll need for this Task are:

  • One (or more if you feel like it) Wanted Poster
  • Your index cards
  • Your RED, GREEN, and BLACK Sharpies

First off, the index cards will need to be made.  On the index cards, the following information needs to be clearly written:

This information can be written out in any colour combination you please.  You need to include at least one Joker smiley face.  You may also Jokerize your index cards, but it’s not necessary (even though Mister J would be amused if you did).  Here’s an example:

Now, here’s what to do…

IF YOU’RE STAYING HOME TO HAND OUT CANDY

  • Tape the Wanted Sign to your front door
  • When Trick-or-Treaters come knocking, explain the Wanted Sign to the older person (adult or teen with the kids)
  • Along with the candy, place a Joker Blogs index card in the kiddies’ bags just as a reminder to check out the series and the site.

 IF YOU’RE TAKING KIDS TRICK-OR-TREATING

  • Take one (or more) Wanted Sign(s) with you
  • At each candy stop, show the goodie-giver the Wanted Sign and tell them about The Joker Blogs
  • Give that person an index card and ask ‘em to check out the series and the site.

 IF YOU’RE HOSTING A PARTY

  • Tape the Wanted Sign to your front door.
  • When guests begin to arrive, explain the Wanted Sign to them and give them an index card as a reminder to check out the series and site later.  If you printed out more than one sign, pass some of those out to folks as well.
  • Depending on the kind of party you’re hosting, there may be many inventive ways you can pass out the index cards.  We’d love to hear what you cook up and how it works out.
  • As guests leave, if they didn’t already get one, be sure to give them an index card and remind them to check out the series and the site.

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING A PARTY

  • Take one (or more) Wanted Sign(s) and the index cards with you and explain it to your host when arriving at the party.  Ask if it’s okay to hand out the index cards.  If it is…
  • Show the Wanted Sign to fellow party-goers and give them an index card so they can check out the series and site later on.  If you printed out more than one sign, pass some of those out to folks as well.  Depending upon your costume, there are some really cool ways to go about this (like if you’re dressed as the Boss, for instance!), so be creative!  Same thing goes for the other guests’ costumes.  Just let your imagination run wild!  You know Mister J would…
  • When you leave the party, be sure to thank your host for letting you do this, give them the Wanted Poster and an index card

Now… In appreciation for all your hard work as faithful Minions, Mister J is releasing
Episode 11 and  a special Halloween Blog…THIS SATURDAY MORNING

This way you can have your ca-razy Halloween fun without worrying about if you’re missing out on the latest madness on The Joker Blogs!  So be sure to get your index cards ready now and print out your Wanted Posters, so you can be packing for the Halloween Task.  And be sure to check out The Joker Blogs on Saturday morning.

Ha.

Early Birthday Fun!

Current Music: House of Pain 'Jump Around'
So Gidge [best friend for those who don't know] came over today to celebrate my birthday [Monday].
I had such a fantastic time! We did what we do best, sat around. Talked, laughed, played a bit of Arkham Asylum for her so she could drool over The Joker [well I did most of the drooling, she was just in awe of his awesomeness and her drooling was minimal], etc.
Then since her mum gave me a $20 Blockbuster gift card [she knows me all too well], we went to find some awesome [and by awesome I mean some good, some wonderfully horrible] movies and picked up candy of course.
Then mum and Gidge took me out for a wonderful steak dinner, complete with a satisfying slice o' ice cream cake, with a 'Happy Birthday' serenade from the both of them. Twas awesome!
And Gidge and I went to see Extract as we are both in love with Mr Jason Bateman.

I just had a great time. I always have a wonderful time with Gidge, but this was great. Also got some wonderful movies from her, and there are Inglorious Bastards and The Order posters coming in the mail for me too! Topped it off with a Fratelli's CD and a Jokerized Harry Potter poster [we are both adamant HP haters. Sorry to those reading who are fans].

But the gifts weren't the important thing, I always have a wonderful time with Gidge. We understand each other. We have been best friends for 13 years, and she's fantastic. Stuck with me through a lot of shit and vice versa. I just feel so lucky to have a friend like her. Neither one of us laugh as much as when we're together. It's insane.
Had an awesome day!!!

Here are the movies...OK so some are a tad embarrassing, but hell, I like corny movies! Sue me!

The Guyver [bc it's starring Mark Hamill and I love the man]
Simon Says [bc of Crispin Glover obsession]
Se7en [bc VHS version just isn't...what it used to be]
Santa's Slay [corny horror movie = YES PLEASE!]
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
The Great Buck Howard [I love John Malkovish and want to marry him]
Romeo Is Bleeding [Gary Oldman...need I say more??]
i, Robot
Batman Returns [again bc my VHS copy doesn't work so well due to having watched it 372863743264872368476 times]

Grandparents = Hell

Posted on 2009.08.16 at 11:09
Current Mood: anxious
Well today is the obligatory visit to the grandparents'. Twas gpa's 90th bday on Thursday and now a bunch of the family's going there to celebrate, including going to one of their favorite restaurants. It's very hoity toity because they seem to think they're the richest people on earth [they have very little money in reality]. It's awful.
But that's not what matters. I could care less about going to some shitty restaurant because quite frankly, I don't have to pay for the shit, so no skin off my back.
The part I don't like is the constant mocking of both me and my mum. It's usually made clear that we are both too fat and too ugly for their liking. Mum has already had her weight be the butt of a joke over the phone.
We have to drive some of the guests to the restaurant. And gpa said mum's car could fit 3 people in the back...unless of course mum was sitting in the back. Hahaha.... :/ Yeah that's what she got when she called to wish him a happy birthday. Nice asshole isn't he?
My hair will be the butt of jokes today because of the newly dyed blond. I was at first going to dye it green in hopes of giving the old bugger a heart attack, but I though against it.

I hate to complain. I apologize to the few that read this. I just wanted to get that off my chest. It'll be fine. Just need to prepare for the fact that I will most likely be told that I'm fat, my hair looks awful, and I'm ugly. And it'll be all good. At least mum and I can come home after it, rather than be stuck there, and then we'll come home, watch the new True Blood and Hung and be happy :)
It's all going to be ok.

Aw a New Survey!

Posted on 2009.08.16 at 00:06
Thank you [info]tinhuviel for another survey :)

Tired of all of those surveys made up by high school kids? Here are questions for the people who are a little older... Copy and paste into your own note, then answer the questions.

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
My Visa...seriously need to cut that thing up. Now.

2. Do you miss being a child?
Yes. Insanely so. I miss almost everything about it.

3. Chore you hate the most?
Laundry. Mostly because I put it off until it becomes a ridiculous huge and intimidating task...that reminds me, I have to do laundry tomorrow. Ugh.

4. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
Oh god I have no idea. I'm not big on romance, so I often avoid it.

5. If you could go back and change one thing what would it be?
I wouldn't have gone back for seconds at every....single.....meal, which ultimately led to me being beaten up every day for being over weight, which ultimately led to me being a constant dieter and obsessed with food. Seconds suck.

6. Name of your first grade teacher?
Mrs....Ryan....ugh.

7. What do you really want to be doing right now?
Drawing, but am conflicted about it.

8. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A forensic pathologist

9. How many colleges did you attend?
College, meaning both college and university? If so, then 2 University of Toronto, and Sheridan College

10. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
It has Joker on it asking the Eternal Question: Why so serious?  - Creepy [info]tinhuviel I too am wearing a J 'Why So Serious?' shirt...I kid you not.

11. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
Meh. It sucks, but I need to drive. Where's whining about it gonna get me?

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
No alarm. Thank god for Saturdays!

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
I wish I could write a killer email to someone right now...

14. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
Willem Dafoe

15. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?
I hate answering these questions cause I feel like I'm jinxing myself. No I haven't.... *knock on LOTS of wood*

16. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer
Hm...I don't know. I'm currently doing both and it's working out.

17. Get up early or sleep in?
It's hard to say. I go to sleep late and then wake up in the late morning, but it's usually a 5 hr sleep, so it doesn't feel like sleeping in. Did that make ANY sense?

18. What is your favorite cartoon character?
The Joker. Either that or Michelangelo from TMNT, or Renie from Sailor Moon....or Alan from Sailor Moon. Oh god all the choices...I CAN'T HANDLE THIS!!!!!!!!

19. Favorite thing to do at night?
Watch movies.

20. When did you first start feeling old?
I don't feel old.

21. Favorite lunch meat?
There's this President's Choice fat free turkey that I CAN NOT get enough of! Add tons of mustard to it and Bob's your uncle!!!! Best thing EVER.

22. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?
A car driving right toward me as I walk down the 'pedestrian crossing' sidewalk because people are ASSHOLES and can't read signs. or drive. or be considerate.

23. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
It's not for me. But whatever suits your fancy, go for it!

24. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?
I think it's known by a lot of my friends that I love uber crappy movies. Love em! One could be K-19, another could be The Punisher 2, but I'm biased because I want to jump Jigsaw [basically any really scarred bad guy and I am THERE!].

25. What's your favorite drink?
Diet Coke

26. Who[m] from high school would you like to run in to?
Luther...someone. I can't remember his name but he used to beat me up a lot and now that I'm stronger and bitchier, I would LOVE to see him so I could kick him in the balls...with my steel toed boots.

27. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?
107.1 Classic Rock

28. Sopranos or Desperate Housewives?
Your mom. Neither.

29. Do you like the person who sits directly across from you at work?
I don't sit at work. I never sit. I'm always on the move.

31. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purposes?
Ha, no.

32. Last book you finished reading?
I don't even remember. It's been a while.

33. Do you have a teddy bear?
No, I have a bunny, a cow, a spider-man, and a batman [mum made that one] cause I'm a big kid like that.

34. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
Hmmm...don't really have any interesting story for this one. A gas station parking lot maybe? I don't know. Sorry to disappoint.

35. Do you go to church?
hell. no.

36. How old are you?
26, 27 on September 7th.

Why Can't People Just GO AWAY!

Posted on 2009.08.15 at 00:22
Ugh I'm so tired of this bullshit. I try to be nice. I try to be supportive. And what the fuck happens?
I spend a couple days off the computer. Er well not totally off the computer, just not spending as much time on it, and all hell breaks loose.
I tell people I've got a job, I tell them I work 12 hour days and come home tired, worn out. Basically able to chat a bit, check up on the TJB forum and add my 2 cents here and there, and then basically pass out.
I tell ppl I may not respond as often because of the above.

What happens? I get messages from several people on youtube and facebook, asking 'where are you' 'hope you haven't forgotten about me' 'are we still friends'......Really??? I mean....really?
I know before the job I was online A LOT more. And therefore, these people got responses much sooner than now.

I see these people have sent me messages during the week. So I say to myself 'well, self, I don't want to read these messages now as I'm about to pass out, because then I may miss something or come of as cold, distant, etc. I think I'll write myself a note to message them back come Friday night or Saturday.'
But no, I guess my having a life [if that's what you can call having this job], AND warning them about it, isn't kosher?
I'm not sure what they expect.

I just remained my usual lame ass self and apologized for not getting back to them sooner because of work, blah, blah, blah. Why can't I just tell these people to fuck off? I mean I'm usually such a miserable bitch, but when it comes to this sort of thing, I just roll over and play dead. All. The. Time.

I'm getting quite sick of people these days. I wish I had the guts to stick up to people. I mean these are all online folk. It's not like I'm ever going to see them in person or have to see them at work the next day or anything.
Ugh. Maybe one day my thoughts will all come out. Then the world is screwed.

Paint this, draw that...

Current Music: When You're Strange
I need to get back into my art. I REALLY need to. I'm not talkin' Photoshopping stuff which is what I've been doing a lot of lately. I mean drawing or painting. Ugh. I started a Joker Nurse painting a while back, got discouraged, and quit for a while. I should re-try that. I got discouraged about drawing because I did, what I thought, was a crappy doodle sketch thingy of The Joker Blogs, but then bam, everyone liked it. Weird and cool at the same time. And that really got me wanting to draw more.
I see people on Deviant Art knocking off these well brilliant drawings, practically a new one every day and I'm in awe at the talent, devotion, and drive these people have. I really want to work up to all that too. I mean I know I'll never be super super great or anything, BUT if I practice and draw like a madwoman, at least it'll help me improve.
I'm sort of Photoshopped out, so maybe this is a good time to put down my mouse [ok I use a laptop, but you get the idea], and pick up a pencil or a paintbrush!

Who'd have thought tomorrow it'll have been 1 year since I watched The Dark Knight for the first time...wow.......and I was hesitant about it too! I know, crazy eh? I'm always somewhat hesitant about sequels. I'm SO happy I was surprised to see what would be my 2nd favorite movie of all time [Evil Dead 2 being the first]. Once I had seen it for the first time, I KNEW it would turn into an obsession for me, but wow...never expected I'd have 15 action figures, 7 framed posters, a lifesize standee, pillow, wallet, couple belts, about 13 t-shirts, and a tattoo of / related to the Joker.
Wow....It's insane how far this obsession has come and doesn't look like I'm gonna be giving it up.
I'm very happy to be obsessed with a murderous, psychopathic clown.

What to do now...

Posted on 2009.07.13 at 20:57
Maybe it's finally time I start to post entries here. I warn you though, they will be boring and probably lacking capitals because I kind of get....lazy when I rant. And I shall definitely use plenty of LJ Cuts so you don't have to read through the ramblings of a crazy woman unless you're really really bored and have nothing better to do.

Today I'm....aggravated.....

I'm aggravated with...people. Wow, for folks who know me that is NOT a shocker. But that's the case today. But today it's more with people online. I'm tired of not knowing if people are real or not online. And I don't mean real as in they may be a 70 year old man pretending to be a 15 year old girl...I mean people telling me things and I'm not sure whether they're lying or not.....
Ugh does that even make sense, I don't know.
I have several friends that have said things to me that I know, or at least I'm 95% sure are lies.....and nothing that they can really benefit from. I mean if you tell me you own something that I know has not been released ANYwhere else, what do you get from that? Except for me saying 'oh wow, I wish they were selling them around here that early,' I don't really see how that makes the person feel better.....
Hmmm it's a funny world we live in.
I'm also kind of sour about certain people who.....seem like....hmmm this is so difficult to put into words. As you can tell, I don't write very often. I used to have an LJ account but it was basically REALLY stupid ramblings about crushes, hating my jobs, that sort of thing...when life was good and not complicated I guess.
ANYWAYS...just people. Ugh. They lie to you, ignore you, disrespect you, take advantage of you...it's just getting me down and getting me kind of irritated with the world wide web.

Wow...that really wasn't as long as I was expecting it to be. I tend to rant when I'm perturbed. But maybe I'll be able to put my thoughts together a bit better another time.

I promise, this journal WILL NOT be devoted to me complaining. I'm usually a really REALLY happy person....usually sickeningly happy. So yeah...maybe I'm just PMSing I don't know.
